StatementI'm drawn to American turquoise and unlikely stone combinations. You'll find subtle nods to art nouveau motifs and the flora of the PA Wilds.
Sometimes I'll see a shape that I want to explore, or I will start rearranging random stones until I find a combination that I like. Often I will flip through my sketchbook to revisit incomplete ideas and make them a reality. The shape of the sones, how my saw cuts, and how my files mark the metal lead me to the finished product. I like to let the materials have a slightly un-polished and natural unintentional feel. |
