StatementStones and fossils have always interested me. As does letting someone special know that you care and appreciate them, or just trying to make them smile. I have found that jewelry making can combine the two. I strive to make pieces that catch the eye, move the heart, or make someone feel good about themselves. Using quality materials and standing behind my work to the fullest just seems natural. Whether it's beads, cabochons, pendants or any piece I make, each article is unique and one of a kind as nature makes every fossil or gemstone different. I work at accenting or featuring certain aspects of a gemstone or fossil and making them stand out. I let the colors and textures influence me into what will look good together without forcing things. I lean toward making things more natural and like to use leather, sterling silver and gems that have not been dyed or enhanced. Recently, I have been working with hand blown glass items and getting some very nice results. I enjoy learning new techniques and trying new media. I also like making custom pieces for people and giving them exactly what they are looking for, something they can’t get anywhere else.
