Blue Heron Days

The “Blue Heron” exhibit is designed to encourage creative work in our community. The focus of the exhibit is the great blue heron, one of the largest and most interesting birds in our area. This huge bird is often seen near water where the northern Alleghenies is crossed with many creeks, streams and rivers.
After the passing of longtime ArtWorks member Betsy Wile, members of ArtWorks began brainstorming ideas to honor the amazing artist. The Blue Heron display came to mind as it was one of her all time favorites.
The display begins on August 13, 2022 at the ArtWorks gallery (54 N. Fraley St, Kane PA) and will be up through the middle of September. It is open to the public. Below are some examples of work entered into the display.
